Hi, we are about to prune our wonderful, old, plum tree. We do it about every second year, but have always wondered which wood does the fruit grow on the following year. Is it the old wood, or the new wood. It always sends up long long shoots each season, and these ones we always cut back as they block our view, but as for the remainder, we just chop at random.
Would appreciate any advice. Thanks[/b]
