Hello!
We have recently removed our first tomato plant from our raised vege garden, and are wondering what crop would be best suited to plant where the tomatoes have been?
Crop Rotation is a traditional method used to cleanse, protect and replenish the soil. The trick with crop rotation is to aviod planting crops in the same 'group' as what was previously there. This link explains it really well http://www.kings.co.nz/Growing+Guides/Vegetable+Crop+Rotation.html
So after tomatoes most root crops, legumes or brassicas would be suitable. For this time of year I would recommend Cauliflower, Broccoli, Cabbage or Kale.
All the best

Great! Thanks so much
We have also just pulled out a lot of our summer crops which had done their dash, and are working the soil getting ready for replanting.
Is there any product you would suggest to work into the soil before re-planting our winter crops?
