This spring we’re excited to inspire Kiwis in the garden each week with the Tui garden segment on the brand new TVNZ 1 show HOMEmade. Starting Wednesday 23rd August at 7.30pm, the show will transform Kiwi backyards and homes, creating spaces the whole family can enjoy and inspiring with new ways to ‘grow your own’.
HOMEmade taps into New Zealand’s love of home improvement, appealing to those who are keen to spruce up key living areas of their home - both inside and out. With the garden increasingly been used as another 'room', we'll be showing ways to transform it into the ultimate space, along with providing plenty of helpful advice and tips to easily 'do-it-yourself'.
Hosted by Goran Paladin, HOMEmade will follow the makeover journeys of 16 homeowners. Each week the HOMEmade team will surprise a Kiwi family whose home is in need of major improvement. Landscape designer Dan Mackay will lead the makeover of a garden area each week, while indoors interior designer Melissa Greenough and builder Dion South will choose a room to renovate indoors. What they achieve in a short space of time is sure to inspire with fun new ways to improve spaces needing a little TLC.
The final reveal each week will be a surprise to the family as they won’t know which areas the team have tackled– they’ll be handing over the keys and returning 48 hours later once the makeover is complete!
Tune in to TVNZ 1 on Wednesdays 7.30pm for your weekly gardening fix! Details of each garden makeover will be available on our website after the show, so you can recreate the projects at home and enjoy your piece of paradise to the fullest.
We will have weekly giveaways of the project packs - make sure you join our weekly newsletter and Facebook page to keep up to date.
