Passionfruit

Passionfruit are an excellent source of vitamins A and C. They are also a good source of dietary fibre. These features of passionfruit work can contribute to a healthy firm complexion through reducing toxins and regenerating healthy firm new skin.

Vitamin C is invaluable as it helps build new collagen and provides the structure for our skin. This naturally depletes with age and toxic damage. Not only is Vitamin C essential for rejuvenating our tissues, but it also assists in the oxygenation of our skin through contributing to healthy blood vessels.

The dietary fibre in passionfruit helps move waste through our colon. This means harmful toxins have less time to settle and cause aggravation. Likewise, dietary fibre acts like a sponge and actually draws toxins out of our digestive system. For both the elimination and movement of toxic material, dietary fibre is essential.

Passionfruit are suggested as being a fruit high in antioxidants due to the helpful levels of the valuable vitamins A and C, and flavonoids. These nutrients help reduce the level of free-radicals that can damage cells causing inflammation and preventing peak health.

Passionfruit are also a good source of the mineral potassium. Potassium is a component of all our body fluids and can assist us with maintaining optimum hydration. It is also useful in maintaining healthy cellular fluids that effectively move nutrients in and wastes out. Potassium also reduces acidity which helps protect our calcium stores for strong bones.
