Radish

Radish is an excellent source of the mineral potassium. Potassium aids in maintaining water balance in body cells. Potassium is critical in helping the body stay hydrated on a micro level. Potassium is also essential for the activation of the heart and body muscles.

Radish is also a good source of magnesium and iron. These minerals aid in soothing airways that can be congested with a cold or flu.  Eating radish is also said to help clear sinuses and relieve symptoms of hay fever.

They also are a natural source of iodine, which is an important factor in the production of hormones used to regulate our metabolism. Natural iodine can also be obtained from seafood.

Radish contain vitamins B, C, Folate, Riboflavin and beta carotene. They also contain soluble fibre, which is different from insoluble fibre. Soluble fibre dilutes toxins and helps soak up debris from the digestive system.
