Q.
My lemon tree has an abundance of lemons but fewer leaves than usual. Recently I had a kwila deck built around it and wondered whether the lime from the concrete may have stressed it in some way?

Hi Sheree, great question! At this stage it is unlikely the deck has caused any issue, however do keep an eye on it. The more likely cause is that lemons often shed foliage when they have a large crop of fruit, as the plant can’t easily support both foliage and fruit. You may need to remove some of the fruit to allow the plant to produce flowers for next years crop.
